THE FUTURE: W / Mercedes Benz SLS ELECTRIC DRIVE

As a car lover, enthusiast and sometimes hater, I am pretty impressed by the new Mercedes Benz SLS electric drive. It looks f*cking cool, it’s packed with features, it’s fast and it’s a Mercedes. But for me, it needs sound, it needs a roar and it’s just not quite there.

Understandably these wants aren’t exactly what the electric kind of enthusiast is looking for, which is fine but I’m not yet converted!

Bro’s, keep ya head warm

The last couple of days have been getting chill-E! It’s getting that time of year where we all start completely over dramatising our thoughts on the weather though and think it’s completely appropriate to wear borderline antarctic school uniforms.

On another note, I’m going to completely disregard my above mention of overdressing and give you a few beanies before it actually does get too cold. There’s a heap of alternate brands getting on the beanie train this year, so it’s exciting to see what’s coming.

TEASER: New Azealia Banks

Has she created a masterpiece or is Azealia getting on the gear? Regardless, I’m fucking excited to see what this chick does in the future.

She’s highly controversial and pieces tunes together like no one I’ve heard before. She’s doing something different and I like it. Watch her space…

Pebble. Nearing the perfect accessory for the modern day bro

I’m a big fan of things that make your life easier e.g smart phones, GPS’, tracking devices and more… So i introduce to you ‘Pebble’..
This super sleek user friendly device seems to have ticked a lot of my boxes in a future tech device. Sure it’s not the sexiest, most attractive Rolex style device but it is uber functional.

Syncing with your iPhone and Android platforms, Useable with internet applications and taps into your GPS from your smartphone it does pretty much everything you need without holding your chunky phone whilst running/riding etc etc. If you’re a mad golfer this bad boy will also tell you how far you are from the next green (currently works with over 25,000 courses world wide).

$150US

Instead of me babbling on about what it does here’s some imagery -

I’ve seriously only scratched the surface in terms of what this watch can do you for you and I definately urge you to check out their website to get the full run down (you can build your own apps for the device, monitor your sleep, find the next bus leaving).

The modern office, the modern creative, the modern way of doing business?

Whilst recently looking for office space in Sydney Australia I was recommended a project called ‘WeCo’. WeCo is a new age office space for young, inspiring, creative like minded individuals looking for a cheap space to set up their newly thought up ‘shop’.

Located on New South Head Road in Edgecliff, NSW, this contemporary open office space enables basically anyone to hire office space (big or small) for a short or extended period of time. This in itself is cool however it’s been done before… What is cooler though, is the thought process around the project which is ‘nobody wants to work from home’. Therefor within this space you can collaborate with your fellow office-ees, in turn producing new creations from your start ups, networking, new deals and much more. The office space also puts on affordable training courses and seminars to assist the people working within the building to better help their skills and businesses.

“WeCo is about increasing the interactions, and reducing the isolation, and we’ve done that with whiteboard walls & whiteboard glass, casual cafe seating, and an outdoor courtyard. We’re for great ideas, with interesting people, so we’ve developed an online community for our members. When you’re starting up it’s important to bounce ideas off each other and grow together with new knowledge, new connections, and new experiences, so we’re building a network of trainers and mentors to host affordable workshop on topics of digital, design and  start-ups skills.”

For more info on WeCo, see the website - http://www.weco.com.au/

Also for another really cool, similar concept check out YourDesk – Office space within Surry HIlls, NSW. Built by two young brothers for creative people, requiring little or large areas for work or meetings. It’s a very cool space with a great concept, be sure to see the website for all the photos I’m a massive fan of the space.  - http://www.yourdesk.com.au/
